User Data Deletion

1. About this page

You can ask us to delete the personal information Salupata holds about you at any time, and you do not need an account or a reason to ask. This page explains how to make that request, what we remove, and how long it takes.

It applies to everyone who uses the platform — buyers with an account, sellers with a shop, and anyone who has messaged us on WhatsApp.

2. How to request deletion

Send us a message on our official WhatsApp number. That is the only channel we use for deletion requests, so that we can confirm who you are before removing anything.

3. What to include in your message

So we can match the request to the right account, please tell us:

• The name on your account.
• The email address or phone number you registered with.
• Your shop name, if you are a seller.

We may ask one follow-up question to confirm the account is yours. We will never ask for your password.

4. What we delete

Once we have confirmed the request, your account is closed and the following is removed from our active systems:

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and any saved addresses.
• Shop and listings: for sellers, your shop profile, contact details, product listings and uploaded images are taken down and no longer shown to anyone.
• Saved items: your wishlist and anything else saved to your account.
• Messages: messages you have sent to our business WhatsApp number.

5. What we keep, and why

• Anonymous statistics: counts such as how many times a page was viewed. These carry no name, contact detail or anything else that points back to you.
• Records the law requires: where a law or a legitimate legal claim obliges us to keep something, we retain only that, and only for as long as required.
• Backups: copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups are rotated and overwritten in the normal course.

One thing outside our control: if your shop or listings were public, search engines may keep a cached copy for a while after we remove the page. You can ask the relevant search engine to clear its cache directly.

6. How long it takes

We acknowledge requests as soon as we see them, and complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity. We will send confirmation on the same WhatsApp conversation once it is done.

Deleting your data closes your account. You are welcome to register again afterwards, but the previous account and its listings cannot be restored.
